Off-roading in the Desert Southwest is more than just a hobby, it's a way of life. It's become an all too common occurrence to see a UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) being used as a daily driver. UTVs come in all shapes and sizes and are fully customizable. It's this passion that calls for any event to celebrate our adventurous spirit. Each, October the City of Somerton closes down Main Street for its Annual UTV Block Party.
Don't let the name fool you, every style of vehicle is welcome to attend, but it's those uniquely modified UTVs that take center stage. Only the meanest and leanest UTVS will take home the top prizes which also include bragging rights. Come for the rides, and stay for the food and music. The UTV Block Party assembles a wide variety of food vendors from hot dogs, to corn on the cob, and of course tacos. The city also brings in local performers and a number of bands.
Whether you suffer from the need for speed or just enjoy listening to music under the desert night sky, the UTV Block Party is a revving good time.
